This week’s sermon is called “Tension and the Kingdom” and it’s taken from Luke 6:17-26. This is Luke’s version of the Sermon on the Mount, which is slightly different than Matthew’s account. Since this week we’ll see a new presidential administration come to power in the United States, I thought it would be good to go back and have a reminder about the new administration that Jesus brings us with the Kingdom of God. There is a tension created by the Kingdom of God, between the old Kingdom and the new. We learn about this new administration here from Jesus.
Are you living according to Old Kingdom Values or New Kingdom Values? This message will help you live in the new.
Also, a little leadership lesson we get from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as we remember him as a nation on Monday.
